<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice transplanter capable of inhibiting the occurrences of skipped stocks and seedling malplanting, even in case abnormal vibrations caused by the rotary variations of a planting arm in a seedling planting apparatus occur. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rice transplanter includes: the traveling machine body installed with a seedling planting apparatus including: a stepless variable-speed gear 21 functioning to make a speed variation of an engine's mechanical power and transmit the varied mechanical power to the traveling gear; and a variable-speed actuator 60 functioning to vary the speed variation ratio of the stepless variable-speed gear 21 by the operation levels of variable-speed pedal 16. The rice transplanter also includes: a means 88 for detecting the rotary variation of the planting arm 33 of the planting apparatus; and a control unit 80 functioning to limit the drive of the variable-speed actuator 60 based on the judgement that, when rotary variation detected by the means 88 exceeds a set value, abnormal vibrations caused by the rotary variation of the planting arm 33 occur.
