PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide member of a belt conveyor for preventing conveyed article from dropping, attaining cost reduction by reducing the kind of the guide member as much as possible by freely mounting a leg part of the guide member as well at a position of a side plate or the like arranged on a body frame side surface of the conveyor. SOLUTION: The guide member 9 comprises: a guide plate 10 standingly provided along a belt conveying surface 5a; and a leg part 11 for supporting the guide plate 10 on a body frame 2 of the conveyor 1, and a recession part 12 for placed/engaged with an upper end surface of a steel pipe 6 of the body frame is formed on a lower end part of the leg part 11, whereas a fixing bolt 13 is provided so as to make a bolt distal end part 13a facing to a lower part side of the steel pipe 6. Further, in fastening operation of the fixing bolt 13, the bolt distal end part 13a abutted on a lower part side of the steel pipe 6 upwardly presses the steel pipe 6 and the leg part 11 is strongly fixed by clamping the steel pipe 6 by the recession part 12 and it.
