PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimicrobial agent which utilizes an active ingredient of an extract from Sciadopitys verticillata, and is effective to Helicobacter pylori, pimple bacillus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus. SOLUTION: A branch, stem, leaf, strobile, bark, trunk and root of Sciadopitys verticillata are used. In the case of solvent extraction, water, alcohols of ethanol or the like, propylene glycol, glycerol or the like is used as a solvent, a liquid extracted from Sciadopitys verticillata is filtered and an extract is obtained.
