<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic material developing acoustic property equal to or higher than that of a conventional acoustic material by using a material reducing an environmental load. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The acoustic material consists of a fiber structure principally composed of polylactic acid short fiber. An apparent density of the fiber structure is ≥0.01 g/cm<SP>3</SP>. The polylactic acid short fiber is core-sheath composite fiber, where aromatic polyester constitutes the sheath part while polylactic acid constitutes the core and the polylactic acid of the core is arranged eccentrically.
