<p>A liquid ejection apparatus comprising a liquid chamber (3) for accommodating a liquid to be supplied from a liquid tank, an ejection port (1) for ejecting droplets of the liquid by applying a pressure to the liquid in the liquid chamber, a pressure application unit for applying the pressure to the liquid in the liquid chamber a liquid-holding structure (7) for holding the liquid on the atmosphere side of the ejection port so as to cover the ejection port with the liquid; and a liquid-removing unit (2) for removing the liquid held on the atmosphere side of the ejection port. The liquid-removing unit controls a timing of ejecting the droplets from the ejection port.</p> |
