<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface device and a program higher in operability. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 14 stores item position information showing a display position on a monitor 6 of an item in a work area 31, and displays an item at the display position corresponding to the item position information. The CPU 14 receives pointer position information showing the moving direction or moving amounts of a pointer from a mouse 8, and displays a movable pointer P1 on the monitor 6. The CPU 14 stores an item intermittent sound having an intermittent cycle 306 unique to each item in association with each item in an item table 301. The CPU 14 outputs an item intermittent sound associated with the item displayed on the monitor 6. The CPU 14 determines whether or not the signal cycle and the intermittent cycle 306 of the click signal inputted from the mouse 8 synchronize with each other.
