<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve spontaneous output boost activated by the stopping of a boosting rod and a driving rod, without performing position detection by means of a switch. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A boosting chamber 27 and a driving chamber 17 are formed in a cylinder housing 14 of an air cylinder 11. The boosting chamber 27 is partitioned into a third cylinder chamber 34 and a fourth cylinder chamber 35 by a second piston 30. The driving chamber 17 is partitioned into a first cylinder chamber 24 and a second cylinder chamber 25 by a first piston 22. A boosting rod 36 is inserted into the third cylinder chamber 34, and a first valve element 48 is provided to be constituted so as to receive pressure from the first cylinder chamber 24. The first valve element 48 is energized by a first energizing spring 39, and becomes a driving position when receiving pressure larger than energizing force of the first energizing spring 39, and becomes a boosting position when the receiving pressure is smaller than the energizing force of the first energizing spring 39.
