PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing a charge transport material in a high yield without requiring severe reaction conditions of high temperature for many hours, an electrophotographic photoreceptor using the charge transport material and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The method for synthesizing a charge transport material includes using a corresponding bisdiamine and a corresponding aryl halide as raw materials in synthesizing a charge transport material represented by general formula (1).
