<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lightweight meter unit for holding a meter for water service even with different face-to-face dimension while having a commonality of parts as well as holding a meter for water service correctly while assuring intensity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the meter unit loading a lengthy base member 2 with a first supporting section 3 and a second supporting section 4 in the longitudinal direction on the upper surface 11 of a base body 5, when a primary side mounting member 6 and a secondary side mounting member 7 are installed in order to press bond the meter 20 for water service, the primary side mounting member 6 and the secondary side mounting member 7 are fixed on the upper surface 11 of the base body via a holding band 2.
