<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single tube type optical fiber cable capable of attaining successful air pressure transmission characteristics to a microduct while reducing diameter and weight, and maintaining successful transmission characteristics even under low temperature environment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the single tube type optical fiber cable to be laid in the microduct, three or four rod-like tensile strength members 4 consisting of fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) are twisted together and a plastic material is coated in a mode for embedding the tensile strength member as a cable jacket 5 around a tube 3 which stores one or more optical fibers 2 with filler 6 capable of stopping water.
