<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spider web pattern coating method which can readily and stably form a three-dimensional spider web pattern on a substrate. Ž<P>SOLUTION: There is provided a spider web pattern coating method wherein a spider web pattern is formed on a substrate by coating the substrate with a coating composition having a viscosity of 0.5 Pa sec or higher at a shear rate of 10,000 sec<SP>-1</SP>and a solids content of 40-95 mass% by means of a spider web spray gun. The spider web pattern coating method is embodied by one wherein the spider web pattern is prepared by coating a substrate with the coating composition to form continuous threads and is composed of a thread-like pattern part and a pattern part comprising mixed and collected thread-like patterns.
