Method, apparatus and system for time synchronization related to communication field are provided in the embodiments of the present invention, which ensures that a slave node achieves rapid time synchronization with a master node when local time of the master node is adjusted. The method for time synchronization includes: receiving a time adjustment message sent from the master node and the time adjustment message carrying time adjustment information and time adjustment sequence number of the master node; adjusting synchronously the local time of the slave node in accordance with the time adjustment information and time adjustment sequence number. Another method for time synchronization includes: detecting whether the local time of the master node is adjusted; after the local time of the master node is detected to have been adjusted, sending a time adjustment message carrying time adjustment information and time adjustment sequence number of the master node to the slave node.
