<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper limb rehabilitation support device easy to put on without becoming large-sized and drawing attention to the paralyzed side in rehabilitation of the stroke hemiplegic upper limb, and performing the right and left mirror symmetric operation of the shoulder, elbow and wrist joints. <P>SOLUTION: The upper limb rehabilitation support device includes a pair of stages movable longitudinally and laterally on a horizontal plane and configured to be in mutually right and left mirror symmetric positions, and a forearm wrist joint operation support part fixed to each stage. The forearm wrist joint operation support part includes an armrest for supporting the forearm, an actuator for rotating a grip to be gripped by hand, in an inward/outward turning direction of the forearm, and an actuator for rotating the grip in a bending/stretching direction of the wrist joint. It is controlled such that, when one of the right and left grips is transitively rotated, the other grip is in the right and left mirror symmetric position, and a signal from a sensor is visually fed back to display lateral movement in the moving direction of the upper limb to be trained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
