GAS DIFFUSION LAYER FOR POLYMER ELECTROLYTE FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas diffusion layer for a fuel cell, inexpensively contributable to improving output density in the fuel cell.

SOLUTION: This gas diffusion layer for the fuel cell is formed so that a porous body sintered coarse particle composed of a carbon particle and a water repellent agent particle and having innumerably a small diameter through-hole, forms innumerably a large diameter through-hole by continuing the mutual porous body sintered coarse particles while having a clearance being a passage of gas and liquid water. The gas diffusion layer for the fuel cell is characterized in that the gas diffusion layer includes a plate shape having a groove on one surface, and includes a water repellent agent layer in at least a part of a surface of the groove.
