PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental probe in which temperature rise of a tip is prevented. SOLUTION: In a laser hand piece for dental treatment, this dental probe 10 is used for guiding laser light transmitted by an optical fiber 20 to an applied position. The tip 11 of the dental probe 10 includes a passage 31 for water, a passage 32 for the air, a multi-lumen tube 30 in which a pipeline 33 which the optical fiber 20 penetrates is formed, and the optical fiber 20 penetrating the pipeline 33. The optical fiber 20 has a resin coating layer 23 provided on the outer periphery of a clad 22 and a metal coating layer 24 provided on the outer periphery of the resin coating layer 23.
