PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining a mutation by comparing an end system message with a reference message, in relation to the end system message having a modular structure which is produced in the end system constituted in a hierarchy way in an electric communication device. SOLUTION: The method determines a mutation mutated from a reference message, in relation to a modular-form end system message produced in the end system of an electric communication device which is constituted in a hierarchy way. In this method, the end system message produced in the end system is read immediately after the reference message is read. Structure analyses are performed to both the reference message and the end system message. Any mutation of the end system message which is mutated from the reference message is determined by a message structure, and structure units (23, 24, 24. 1<SB>END</SB>, 24. 1. 1<SB>END</SB>, and 28) of the end system message mutated from the reference message are outputted.
