<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar system for independently setting a distance resolution, a frequency of transmission, and a processing distance range. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The radar system includes a transmission section 3 synthesizing after giving different modulations to M-kinds (M≥2) of frequencies of signals wherein a transmission differs by a predetermined step frequency, and transmitting a transmission signal mixed with a remainder computation result of the frequency of transmission taking N (N≥2) as a modulus per transmission from an antenna section 6; a DFT section 7 receiving through the antenna section 6 a reflected wave from a target, at which a transmission wave from the transmission section 3 is reflected, and demodulating the modulations after performing M-point discrete Fourier transform processing of the reception signal; and an IDFT section 8 holding M-outputs from the DFT section 7 to be obtained per transmission by the transmission section 3 over N-times of transmission, and performing discrete inverse Fourier transform processing with M×N-signals thereof.
