PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components, by which transfer thereof to a construction site and the construction work are facilitated, to enable convenient handling, giving less opportunities of forgetting the transfer or of the loss etc., and to enable easy, inexpensive and speedy construction as the structure is simple, in an interior panel for a tunnel like a fireproof plate etc. laid on the inner surface of existing tunnel lining or of tunnel lining under construction, and in a method for fitting the interior panel to the inner surface of the tunnel lining using the panel. SOLUTION: The interior panels for the tunnel are laid on the inner surface 4a of the tunnel lining 4 in a manner that they are aligned in a vertical direction leaving a predetermined space from the inner surface of the lining using a space holding metal piece 3. A locking metal piece 2 is integrally arranged on the lower side of the rear face of a panel body 10 of the interior panel 1, and the space holding metal piece 3 having an upward erecting element 3b engageable with the locking metal piece 2 is integrally arranged on an upper side of the rear face of the panel body 10.
