<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a recording paper sheet from being imparted with habitual roll of following a shape of a tension guide, when standing for a long time without executing printing or the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A control part 41 controls a paper sheet feeder 1a, when a roll stationary printer 1 transits to an electric power saving state or an electric power source off-state, conducts a backfeed operation for rotating a paper sheet feed roller 31 along a reverse feed direction or an additional feed-out operation for rotating a feed-out roller 15 along a regular feed direction, and feeds the recording paper sheet 12a with a prescribed length of margin between a paper sheet feed position B of the paper sheet feed roller 31 and a paper sheet feed-out position C of the feed-out roller 15. The recording paper sheet 12a is brought thereby into a curved shape having a curvature larger than that of a curved shape of a recording paper sheet guide face 28, in a space in a rear side of the tension guide 27. The backfeed operation or the additional feed-out operation is carried out after confirming whether the recording paper sheet 12a is sagged already or not by a feed-out sagging flag, and trouble is thereby prevented from being generated caused by excessive sagging.
