<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame structure for an image forming apparatus, the frame structure being integrally formed from resin, having high rigidity for stable image formation and also having a housing function for an exposure section. <P>SOLUTION: In the frame structure for the image forming apparatus in which a main structure portion is constructed from opposite side plates and at least one bridge connecting these side plates; and the main structure portion is obtained by integrally molding a resin, at least one bridge is horizontally disposed, thereby assuming a housing function for the image forming apparatus exposure section to the bridge. In addition, a connecting member made of a material higher in rigidity than the resin material of the main structure portion is disposed horizontally below an image carrier to be disposed below the bridge, serving as the housing function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
