<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform through-image display during autofocusing and to achieve speeding-up of autofocusing. <P>SOLUTION: The stereoscopic imaging apparatus is equipped with: an AF controller 170 which performs AF searching in which a partial image is read from a first imaging device 134R under control of an imaging device controller 136R to calculate a contrast value of the partial image, while moving a focus lens 130FR of a first photographic optical system 14R, and moves the focus lenses 130FR and 130FL to focusing lens positions where the focus lenses 130FR and 130FL are focused on a subject, based on a result of the AF searching; and a display controller 158 which controls a monitor 24 to display the image read from a second imaging device 134L under control of an imaging device controller 136L as a through-image at least during the AF searching. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
