<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting impeller at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The lifting impeller 10 is constituted to stir treated water W by dipping an impeller 2 provided in a vertical shaft 1 with the treated water W and rotating the impeller 2, and constituted to lift the vertical shaft 1. A rotary drive force for driving the impeller to rotate is used as power for lifting the vertical shaft 1, and by this structure, one power source is enough and the necessity of separately providing a power source for lifting the impeller is eliminated.
