CLAY COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clay composition capable of continuously skin-absorbing a metabolic product derived from blue-green algae for a long time.

SOLUTION: The clay composition containing a clay component containing a smectite clay mineral, a metabolic product derived from blue-green algae and water is provided. The metabolic product derived from blue-green algae is held between layers of the smectite clay mineral and gives extended-release. This clay composition is prepared by acting a water (for example, hot spring water) containing the metabolic product derived from blue-green algae and silicate ion to the clay component containing the smectite clay mineral and a kaolinite clay mineral and ageing.
