摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a data amount of a compression code. <P>SOLUTION: A display panel 10 includes a plurality of liquid crystal elements 24 to be driven by impression of voltage. A storage circuit 52 stores the compression code CO including a first part S1 which designates the number of instruction values X and a second part S2 which designates an identifier D for each gradation, and stores a predetermined code CB in which an instruction value X for designating either of on voltage or off voltage is arranged for each identifier D. A development part 54 generates a driving code CDR according to a continuous code CA in which the instruction values X for designating the on voltage for by the number n1 designated by the first part S1 of the compression code CO are arranged and the predetermined code CB corresponding to an identifier D designated by the second part S2 of the compression code CO. A driving circuit 30 impresses either of the on voltage or the off voltage to the liquid crystal elements 24 for each subfield SF in a field F based on the driving code CDR generated for designated gradation of the liquid crystal elements 24 by the development part 54. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
