<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple suspended matter separation apparatus suppressing introduction cost and maintenance cost, sanitarily handling treated water, and saving energy. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The suspended matter separation apparatus 100 includes: treating water leading in paths P12, 13, 16; a fine bubble generator 10; suspended matter separation tanks 15, 23, 27; suspended matter leading out paths P7, 14, 17; and clean water leading out paths P6, 15, 18. The suspended matter separation tanks 15, 23, 27 comprise inner tanks 12, 20, 25 for storing the treating water and floating up the suspended matter; and outer tanks 13, 21, 26 for storing water level adjusting water to adjust the water levels of the inner tanks 12, 20, 25 by pressing up the treating water stored in the inner tanks 12, 20, 25 through openings provided at lower parts of the inner tanks 12, 20, 25.
