METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETECTING RUST OF STEEL STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for detecting the presence of the rust on a steel surface exposed to an environment in a steel structure left in the state embedded in soil or concrete. SOLUTION: A plurality of standardized square corrugated cathode currents different in waveform pattern are passed through target steel, and the rust on the steel surface is detected by the behavior with the elapse of time of the surface potential of steel to the passage of the currents of respective waveform patterns.
