PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable fan assembly with the projection of a center of gravity positioned within the footprint of a base when a body is in a fully tilted position. SOLUTION: This fan assembly for creating an air current includes an air outlet (14) mounted on a stand (12). The stand (12) has a base (38, 40) and a body (42) tillable relative to the base (38, 40). The fan assembly has the center of gravity (CG) located so that when the base is located on a substantially horizontal support surface, the projection of the center of gravity on the support surface is within the footprint of the base when the body is in the fully tilted position.
