<p>A banknote binding device (3) having a binding section (22) for forming a banknote bundle by binding, by means of a binding band, one hundred banknotes to be bound, and also having a printer (508) which, while pulling out the binding band by which the banknotes to be bound are bound in the binding section (22), prints fixed information and unique information on the binding band. The banknote binding device also has a controlling section (170) for controlling drive of the printer (508) in order that the printer (508) prints the fixed information and the unique information on the binding band, which binds the banknotes to be bound, such that the fixed information and the unique information can be located on substantially the entire circumferential surface of the binding band. Work efficiency is drastically enhanced by increasing the amounts of the fixed information and unique information printed on the binding band.</p> |
