Composite material comprises a polyurethane layer adhering to a layer of thermoplastic material, where the polyurethane is produced by reacting an isocyanate-functional prepolymer (I) with an isocyanate-reactive compound (II) or reacting a diisocyanate (III) with a mixture of (II) and a hydroxy-functional alkoxylated phosphate triester (IV), where (I) is produced by reacting an isocyanate with (IV) and has an isocyanate group content of 5-45%. An independent claim is also included for producing a composite material as above by reacting (I) with (II) or reacting (III) with a mixture of (II) and (IV), optionally together with a catalyst, blowing agent and additives, in the presence of the layer of thermoplastic material.
