An image-capturing device provided with a detection section (10) for detecting that the resistance value of an actuator (4) consisting of a shape memory alloy and moving a lens (2) is being maintained within a predetermined range. In order to obtain image-capturing data for each field provided in a focus region, the lens (2) is moved step-by-step from a position corresponding to a first field. Then, a target position at which the lens (2) is finally positioned is calculated from the obtained image-capturing data, and the lens (2) is positioned at the target position on the basis of the result of the calculation. The configuration enables stable and reliable data to be obtained.
