<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To weight and adjust a parallax amount generated in the foreground or the background (to give the intensity of parallax) in accordance with the parallax amount, whereby a parallax image with more preferable stereoscopic vision can be output. <P>SOLUTION: A three-dimensional image output method includes: acquiring a plurality of viewpoint images obtained by photographing a same subject from a plurality of viewpoints, and acquiring parallax amounts at respective feature points from coordinate values of respective corresponding feature points of the respective viewpoint images (steps S10, S12). On the other hand, information on a 3D display device is acquired (step S14) and a parallax amount conversion table, suitable for the class and the screen size of the display device, with which weighting becomes different in accordance with the parallax amount, is selected (steps S20, S22, S24). The parallax amount at each feature point is converted by the selected conversion table, a parallax image corresponding to the converted parallax amount is generated, and a plurality of parallax images including the generated parallax image are output to the display device (steps S26, S28). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
