<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space-saving paper feeder preventing a residual of paper when a tray is pulled out. <P>SOLUTION: When a separation driving shaft 59 is driven in the paper conveyance direction (direction opposite to paper feed) by a separation driving motor 57 until a paper front end is detected by a detection means 73 after completion of paper feeding operation, a press-contact force is resolved due to the occurrence of a reaction force in the direction opposite to a tangential force between rollers. When pressurization is released, a separation roller 52 is dropped by its own weight, and nip with a paper feeding roller 51 is resolved. That is, the separation roller 52 is reversed until the front end of the paper is detected by a detection means 73 to allow the separation roller 52 to be dropped by its own weight after completion of feeding operation, thereby achieving the space-saving paper feeder preventing the residual of paper when the paper tray is pulled out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
