<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically detect and report that a cable moves in excess of a permissible amount due to a surfing phenomenon. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A surfing phenomenon informing system includes: a detecting means (10) for detecting the moving amount of cable which exceeds the permissible amount (α), an informing means (20) for informing a monitoring center (32) of information based on a signal from the detecting means, and an alarming means (30) installed in the monitoring center and receiving a report from the informing means and giving an alarm. The detecting means detects an interrupted or supplied current when a first member (12) attached on the cable is separated from a second member (14) attached on the conduit exit wall surface (W) when the cable moves.
