PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oily ink composition for a ballpoint pen, providing extremely light and smooth condition of the pen in the writing under a high writing pressure, not limited to the writing under a normal writing pressure even when the ink has a low viscosity. SOLUTION: The oily ink composition for the ballpoint pen is regulated so that the total amount of a sulfonamide resin and a hydrocarbon compound having an amide group may be≥3.0 wt.% based on the whole amount of the ink, and the used amount of the sulfonamide resin may be selected from the range of from 0.5 to 2.3 times of the amount of the used hydrocarbon compound having the amide group.
