<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catch basin shovel for easily discharging sludge in a catch basin, whereas operation for removing sludge accumulated in the catch basin by a conventional shovel is difficult to perform since the sludge scooped by the shovel must be delivered upwardly from the narrow catch basin, and the scooped sludge is slipped out of the shovel in the middle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The catch basin shovel includes: a shaft part (3) of a predetermined length extending from a handle (2); a pan part (6) provided on the other end side of the shaft part; a ratchet part (5) for changing the angle between the pan part and the shaft part stepwise, which is attached between the other end of the shaft part and the pan part; and a lock release lever (12) for releasing the lock by the ratchet part.
