<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic hammer capable of restraining a damage onto a mold, even when used for a concrete compaction, to prevent the mold from being broken. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This automatic hammer includes a hammer body 1 built in with a vibration source driven electrically or by compressed air, and a bit 2 attached to the hammer body 1, vibrated by the vibration source, and for bringing a distal end into contact with an object to apply an impact, and is provided with a cushioning material 24 for moderating the impact in a bit distal end 22. The impact applied onto the mold is moderated by the cushioning material 24, when the distal end of the bit 2 is brought into contact with the mold, for the compaction of concrete, and the mold is thereby prevented from being broken by an excessive impact.
