<p>A group of characteristic words which can express the content of a document appropriately is extracted, and an appropriate priority is given to the characteristic words based on the distance to a specific position selected under predetermined conditions for the positions in the document where the characteristic words are appeared. When a group of characteristic words which can express the content of a document appropriately is extracted and presented, the content and the difference of each document are comprehensible even in the form of a list of many documents, and a device for presentation of characteristic words in documents which can convey the content of a document appropriately even if the number of characteristic words to be presented is limited, and a program giving the priority of characteristic words can be provided.</p> |
