Provided is an open type PET device, in which a plurality of detector rings are arranged separately of the axial direction of a specimen so that the PET device has a physically open field range of view. A PET device of another construction can be made such that at least one of the detector rings or other imaging devices to be juxtaposed can be moved by a convenient device moving means. As a result, the open type PET device is enhanced in versatility so that it can be easily introduced into a facility.
