<p>It is possible for a user to easily input operations without viewing an operating surface. With respect to the operating surface of a touchscreen (3C) of a music playback device (1), when an operation is detected where, while maintaining finger contact, the contact point of a finger is changed from the pad of the finger to the tip, it is presumed that the direction going from the finger tip contact location to the finger pad contact location is the direction of the wrist of a hand that is operating the touchscreen (3C), and coordinate axes are set where said direction is the down direction with respect to the operating surface. Then, the contact location of the finger with respect to the operating surface is converted to coordinates based on said coordinate axes, and commands are input with respect to said coordinates. As a result, it is possible to recognize the operations of the user in accordance with the direction of the user's hand with respect to the operating surface, and so the user may perform operations with the direction of the user's hand with respect to the operating surface as a baseline, and the user may easily perform operations even without viewing the operating surface.</p> |
