PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporator with a cold storage function, achieving miniaturization and weight saving and suppressing an increase in ventilation resistance. SOLUTION: This evaporator with the cold storage function includes flat refrigerant circulating pipes 13, and flat cold storage material vessels 14 brazed to the one surface of the refrigerant circulating pipes 13. A plurality of pairs 15 composed of the refrigerant circulating pipes 13 and cold storage material vessels 14 are arranged at intervals, portions between the adjacent pairs are formed as ventilation clearances 16, and fins 17 are arranged in the ventilation clearances and brazed to the refrigerant circulating pipes 13 and cold storage material vessels 14. The front portions of the cold storage material vessels 14 and fins 17 are projected forward of the refrigerant circulating pipes 13, and the forwardly projecting portions of the cold storage material vessels 14 are formed with inner volume increasing sections 22 having higher vessel height than vessel height of vessel bodies 21.
