PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original lighting device for preventing an illuminance ripple of light emitted from point light sources to an lighting area on an original with simple configuration, thereby, preventing an increase in manufacturing cost of a light diffusion member, and to provide an image reading apparatus and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The light diffusion member 71 is arranged on an optical path between the LED package 46 and the lighting area W1 on the original P. The light diffusion member 71 includes: a sheet member 72 provided extending in a direction nearly perpendicular to the center optical axis C emitted from the exit surface 46a of the LED package 46; and a plurality of polymer spherical particles 73 provided on the second surface 72b opposite to the first surface 72a facing the LED package 46 of the sheet member 72 and positioned on an area A including the center optical axis C, for refracting and diffusing the light emitted from the exit surface 46a of the LED package 46. An inclined part 75 inclined with respect to the center optical axis C so as not to be vertical to the center optical axis C is formed on the first surface 72a of the sheet member 72.
