<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of equalizing qualities of both side full-color images while suppressing the combination of photoreceptors which cost a great deal, as much as possible when forming the full-color images on both sides of a form. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a plurality of photoreceptors which carry respective toner images of different colors; an intermediate transfer belt to which toner images respectively formed on the photoreceptors are superposed and transferred by a first transfer means; a transfer conveyance belt to which the toner image on the intermediate transfer belt is transferred by a second transfer means; and a fixing means fixes the toner images at the same time after respective toner images on the intermediate transfer means and the transfer conveyance belt are transferred by using the first transfer means and the second transfer means on both surfaces of the form conveyed between the intermediate transfer belt and the transfer conveyance belt, wherein two photoreceptors of the plurality of photoreceptors are used for at least a certain one color toner.
