<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic analyzer, which is applied to an apparatus adapted to convey a rack holding a sample to an analyzing unit to analyze the sample, and which does not complicate the rack conveying system even if the number of analyzing units is one or increased to two or more. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The automatic analyzer includes a rack standby disk which rotates and stops with a plurality of racks on standby. A dedicated rack reciprocating conveying line is provided between each analyzing unit and the rack standby disk.
