<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of improving the exhaust heat efficiency of the distal end of the endoscope, increasing the luminance of an observation light source, increasing the number of pixels of an imaging element, and narrowing the diameter of the distal end of the endoscope. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The endoscope includes an observation window 37 for acquiring an observation image and a washing nozzle 43 for jetting a fluid toward the observation window 37 on the distal end face 35 of the distal end 17 of the endoscope. A heat radiating means 45 is disposed on the distal end face 35 of the distal end 17 of the endoscope along the direction of jetting of the fluid jetted from the washing nozzle 43.
