<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the distal end protection cap of an endoscope for easily adjusting image quality of a super-enlarged observation image which uses white balance adjustment and a fluorescent sample. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the distal end protection cap of an endoscope, an inner cylinder 11 engaged in such a state that an insertion part distal end is inserted to a prescribed position is integrally joined to an outer cylinder 12 disposed in such a state that the whole inner cylinder 11 is surrounded by the outer cylinder 12 with a space in the radial direction with respect to the inner cylinder 11. An end part opposite to the inlet 11a side of the inner cylinder 11 is formed open and a sealing cap 20 formed in reference color for white balance adjustment for closing the front face of an open end part 11b is freely removably attached to the open end part 11b in a state that the sealing cap 20 does not project from the inside of the outer cylinder 12.
