PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet type electric motor that ensures inductance while suppressing a ripple in magnetic flux. SOLUTION: The permanent magnet type electric motor has a rotor 1 where a permanent magnet 5 is buried in a magnetic pole 3 formed in its rotational direction. Each magnetic pole 3 of the rotor 1 is provided with coils 6 and 7, which are reverse in winding direction, on the front side and the rear side in the rotational direction of the rotor 1. Each coil 6 and 7 is connected to each other in series so that currents generated in a direction of preventing a change in passing interlinkage magnetic flux may flow in mutually opposite directions.
