PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aseismatic strengthening method capable of being applied even to a column with an integrally constructed wall, without requiring labor. SOLUTION: A pair of grooves 21 is formed on a surface of an existing column 1, and channel steel 20 is attached to the existing column 1 in such a manner that both flanges 20A are housed in the grooves 21, respectively. A nut 31 is fastened to a chemical anchor 30 which is driven into the existing column 1; the channel steel 20 is fixed to the surface of the existing column 1; and grout 22 is infilled between a web 20B of the channel steel 20 and the surface of the existing column 1, and into the groove 21 of the existing column 1.
