PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for extracting featured values which are robust to affine transformation. SOLUTION: A featured value extraction device 1 includes a scale space construction part 21 for constructing a scale space to be created based on the response of a filter having anisotropy from a still image; an area detection part 31 for detecting a characteristic region from a point where the response of a filter having anisotropy is set to an extreme in the scale space; and featured value calculation part 41 for extracting featured values expressed with a multi-dimensional vector from the characteristic region.
