<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white particle for display, for which the aggregation of particles enclosed in a display medium is suppressed and whiteness is improved compared to the case of not containing first white particles and second white particles in a specified relation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The white particle for display contains the first white particles (small diameter reflection particles 36A) which are to be moved corresponding to an electric field and the second white particles (small diameter reflection particles 36B) which have a volume average particle diameter smaller than that of the first white particles and are not to be moved corresponding to the electric field, and the numerical quantity ratio of the first white particles to the second white particles is 1/(5.1E+7)≤the numerical quantity ratio≤1/(2.8E+4).
