<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise selling system for achieving a customer service corresponding to the degree of contribution to the environment of a customer. <P>SOLUTION: In a merchandise selling system SY1 configured of a shopping cart 10 and a POS terminal 40, the shopping cart 10 is provided with: power generation parts 21 and 32 for generating power by using an external force and the rotation of a wheel; and a first electricity accumulation part 232 for accumulating the power generated by the power generation parts 21 and 32.
